Our mission is simple yet powerful: ignite curiosity and foster a lifelong love for science in people of all ages, especially in underserved communities.

The Innovation Lab has made a huge impact, reaching over 2,000 students and 750 adults in 2023 through engaging, hands-on STEM workshops across Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Our workshops offer fun and interactive activities like the Life Science Relay Race, where students collaborate on biology challenges, Foldscope microscopy to explore the microscopic world, and physics experiments with a whirligig centrifuge. Students also dive into DNA sequencing using the MinION and learn coding with Raspberry Pi, making STEM learning both exciting and accessible for all.
